Jesus Youth is a group from Toronto, Ontario that originated in India and minister all over the world. Dr. Joe José and his family visited the shrine along with Boban, Philip, Alvin, and Steven who are doing ministry work among the First Nations people. They are currently on their way to Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan.
On May 30, Bishop Athanasius visited the Blessed Vasyl shrine with Alex Begin, Rev. Canon Adrian Sequeira and Dr. Peter Kwasniewski. Every year Bishop Velychkovsky Martyr`s Shrine takes part in this event to share the jewel of Catholicism, the martyr, with winnipeggers. This years event took place and many visitors came to the shrine to visit the church, the shrine and learn more about Blessed Vasyl. You can read more about Doors Open here.
The way of the cross held in Chortkiv honoured Blessed Vasyl Velychkovsky who spent two months imprisoned here in 1945. See More Photos

Blessed Vasyl’s relatives Yuri and Christina Welleck (Welyczkowsky) from Austin, Texas, along with friends visit the Blessed Vasyl apartment/museum in Lviv, Ukraine.
On April 17, the grades 7 and 8 classes from Christ the King Catholic School visited the shrine. They later made rosaries with pieces of bread similar to the ones made by Blessed Vasyl when he was in prison.
